6 weeks out of office?

Hi Reader!

I was listening to a podcast episode a few weeks ago where the host casually mentioned she takes six full weeks off from her business every summer.

No email. No laptop. Completely off the grid.

And she was not stressed about it.

Here's the thing. She had built her business so it could keep running without her. Her website was doing the work. Her systems were doing the work. She was not carrying it all herself.

I thought about that for a while, because I do something similar. Every summer, I travel with my family. This year we are away for four weeks. And I go knowing that my business is not going to fall apart while I am gone.

That is not luck. That is how I built my website.

Your website has five specific jobs to do:

  1. Answer questions (through your copy and your FAQ)
  2. Schedule calls for you automatically
  3. Build trust and authority before anyone ever speaks to you
  4. Always give visitors a clear next step
  5. Invite people to take action and work with you

If your website is not doing those five things, you are the one doing them. One email at a time. One back-and-forth scheduling thread at a time. One "let me answer that for you" at a time.

Pick one job your website is currently skipping. Just one. And fix it before summer is over.

That small shift can change what happens the next time you actually try to step away.

Listen to the episode: Is Your Website Doing Its Job or Are You Doing Its Job? [Ep 133]

You're Invited!

I'm presenting at the AI Systems Showcase (free, July 21-23). It's free to attend, runs all three days on your own time, and wraps with a live mixer on July 23. If you want to see what other women are actually building with AI (not just talking about), grab your spot here.

You've got this,

P.S. The most overlooked job on the list? Scheduling. If someone has to wait for you to personally reply before they can book a call, you are losing warm leads while you sleep.
