Hi Reader! A potential client lands on your website, likes what they see, and clicks your button. It takes them to the wrong page, or a page that doesn't exist. They don't let you know. They just leave. You can see a bad review or a slow month, but you'll never see that lost lead. Here's the thing. Every button on your website is making a promise, and it needs to keep it. A strong call to action does three things. It's specific ("See my packages" instead of "Learn more"). It shows up when someone is ready to act, like right after a testimonial or service description. And it leads exactly where it says it will. The most common issue I see is a missing button. Blog posts and About pages often end with no next step, even though those readers are the most interested in you! AI can help you spot these gaps quickly. Paste your homepage URL into your AI tool and ask whether there's a clear next step at the top of the page. Then treat its suggestions as a starting point, not the final word. I go deeper on this in this week's episode of Website Design Made Simple: Is Your Website Ghosting Your Best Leads? Ask AI These 6 Questions [Ep 150] including six prompts you can copy and paste. This week, open your homepage and click every button as if you were a new visitor. Does each one go where it promises? If you'd like a second set of eyes on what you find, I'd be glad to walk through it with you on a coaching call. You've got this, P.S. Notice which buttons are already working, too. Knowing what's working keeps you from breaking it. |
Every week you will get one (yup, just 1!) email from me, like friends chatting over coffee, that contain different website + marketing tips, updates in the industry and the occasional update on what's happening in my life. I can’t wait to get to know you better this way! ♡
