Those conversations often end with, "I'll check out your website." It's a great moment, and I want you to feel good about where you're sending people.

Here's the thing. A website you trust doesn't have to be perfect. It needs to be clear, current, and easy to act on.

If I were getting ready for the season, these are the four things I'd look at first.

Clarity. Can someone tell within three seconds what you do, who you help, and what to do next? Read your homepage headline out loud and see if it passes.

Social proof. Swap in your most recent and specific testimonials, the ones that describe a real problem and a real result.

The path to you. Fill out your own contact form and make sure it arrives. Try it on your phone too.

Your face. Add a current photo that looks like you today. Real and recent beats polished stock every time.
