Hey Website Bestie, Is your website silently losing you clients? I had a wake-up call recently when a client tried to book a website audit with me. First, my booking system glitched and tried to charge him double. When I attempted to fix it manually, I messed up the time zone conversion. Thankfully, this determined client stuck with me through all the technical failures! But it got me thinking… how many potential clients encounter tech issues on YOUR website and simply click away instead of reaching out? Your website might look good — but if the tech behind it fails, none of that matters. Today I’m sharing the hidden tech issues that could be costing you clients right now (and exactly how to find and fix them). 👉 1. Test Your Client Pathway Monthly Follow the exact path your ideal client would take from landing on your homepage to contacting you. Is everything working smoothly? Any roadblocks? This critical journey should be tested at least once a month. 👉 2. Check Your Contact Forms & Booking Systems This is where I messed up! Your forms and booking systems are the final step in converting visitors to clients. Submit test messages through your forms and make sure you receive them. Book a test appointment in your scheduling system to verify it works properly. 👉 3. Verify Your Mobile Experience Most of your visitors are coming from phones, but many websites don’t function properly on mobile. Check your site on different devices and make sure everything loads quickly, displays correctly, and allows for easy navigation. 👉 4. Provide Backup Contact Methods Always include your email address on your contact page as a backup in case your form fails. This simple addition can save potential clients who might otherwise disappear when encountering tech issues. 👉 5. Use These Tech-Check Tools Even one of these tools can put you ahead of the pack: - Hotjar (free version works great) for seeing how visitors interact with your site - BrokenLinkChecker.com for finding dead links - Google Search Console for identifying technical SEO issues This week on the podcast, I dive deeper into finding and fixing these hidden tech issues! 🎤 Website Errors Most Business Owners Never Discover Until It's Too Late [Ep 081] 🎙️ RECENT EPISODES 🎙️ Which Website Builder Wins For Small Business — Wix or WordPress? Hey Website Bestie, Let's talk about your about page — that tricky little corner of your website where potential clients decide if you're their perfect match.
