just got home

Hey Reader!

I just got home from Podfest, an in-person podcasting conference filled with amazing podcasters and industry professionals. And wow, what an experience!

My mind is spinning with new ideas and value to deliver to you on my show, Website Design Made Simple! 🎙️

Speaking of the pod, this week's episode is about those endless website projects you may have heard about or even experienced. 😱

I’m breaking down exactly why this happens and sharing my proven 4-week process that’s helped dozens of business owners launch on time. On time, every time. My delivery rate on time is 100%.

Here’s a valuable tip you can implement today: Create a “Website Requirements Doc” before you even start talking to designers.

Here’s what to include:

  • Your non-negotiable launch date (within reason of course!)
  • Must-have features for your site
  • Content you already have vs. need to create
  • Your ideal budget range
  • Required integrations (payment processors, scheduling tools, etc.)

Having this document ready does three things:

  1. Forces designers to be specific about timelines
  2. Prevents scope creep 3.
  3. Gives you a clear way to evaluate different proposals

Hey Reader! I've been working really hard these last few weeks to really simply where I am spending my time. Simplicity is one of my core values — it's in even my podcast title, Website Design Made Simple. So today, I thought I'd share a few ways to put...
